Vaginal and cervical prolapse in cattle

A beef cattle in the last trimester of pregnancy. She was presented of prolapse of the vagina (day before observation: 15 July 2021). On observation and gross examination, the prolapse begins as an intussusception-like folding of the vaginal floor with irritation and swelling of the exposed mucosa, results in straining and more extensive prolapse, with the cervix visible at the caudal part. For this case, we decided to replace the prolapsed vagina and permanent fixation of the vagina can be achieved by horizontal mattress-like suture.
