Welcome to Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College, the Small Animal Teaching Hospital of Walailak University. In October 2018, Small Animal Hospital opened its doors. It is critical for raising the level of veterinary education to an international standard in numerous small animal hospital disciplines in conformity with international norms. Small Animal Hospital offers specialized medical services and centers of specialty, as well as cutting-edge medical technology and equipment, through a team of doctors and quality professionals. We are currently constructing a major animal hospital. According to the conceptual framework for the development of Walailak University, there was a defined concept and strategy for building Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College within the context of a strong university’s ability to administer health science education. The large animal hospital is comprised of the Equine and Ruminant building, the horse and ruminant surgery and necropsy building, horse barns and grass for horses, large ruminant housing, and pig and small ruminant housing. Walailak University is home to the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Allied Health Sciences, and Science, all of which are equipped to properly support and assist in the establishment of Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College. According to Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn, the college will be called “Akkhraratchakumari Veterinary College.” Walailak University’s commitment to global education (Smart Classroom and Laboratory), to One Health, to a Smart Teaching Hospital, and to the Thai government’s Thailand 4.0 initiative (Smart Research and Innovation).
